We finally got around to diving in Taveuni pretty much for the first time since arriving in the Southern Hemisphere. The water was amazingly clear with underwater visibility easily 33+ meters (100+ feet), which any diver would wish for. We met wonderful people on the dive boat from our resort including my dive buddy (when not with Gitty) Fish, who is a very interesting thrill seeker and master sky diver.
The waters were crystalline with views 10 meters (30 ft) to the corals below
Happy to be diving again together after so many years
Uli was our divemaster, here explaining a dive site called fish factory
The Rainbow Reef in Taveuni is famous for so many species
An angelfish alone is an unusual sight since usually there's so many together
I rented an underwater GoPro and photographed this unusual nudibranch
